Why we built this.
The portals charge agents, agents charge sellers, and buyers get a filtered view of what is for sale. We wanted a place where the person who owns the property talks to the person who wants it.
Where it came from
We run a Facebook group, Equestrian & Country Property for Sale UK, with 78,000 members. Every day people post stables, paddocks, cottages and farms there, and every day buyers ask "is there anything near X under Y?". Facebook is a terrible place to search. This site is the searchable, shareable version, open to every kind of property.
What it costs
Nothing, for sellers or buyers. We may in future offer optional paid extras (featured placement, say) but the basic listing will stay free.
How we make money
Honestly: the same way as the rest of our sites. Some buyers need a mortgage, some sellers need a bridging loan or a quick sale, and we introduce them to separate, regulated firms who pay us for the introduction. It never costs you anything and you never have to use them.
What we are not
We are not an estate agent and we do not take part in any sale. We check listings before they go live, remove anything that looks wrong, and forward enquiries. Ownership, condition and legal title are for your solicitor to verify.
